‘KRNR’ is my (Andreas’) visual diary and portfolio. It is a collection of theoretical and design work that meanders through the topics of weathering and ornament in the context of climate change, architecture, and material culture.


Andreas Körner

Dr Andreas Körner is an architectural designer and researcher based in Austria. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Experimental Architecture at the University of Innsbruck and a Senior Artist at the Institute of Architecture at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Andreas’ research and design experiments explore the relationship between the built and the natural environment through digital design methods, materials, and making. Special interest is given to the weathering of intricate surfaces and the resulting chromatic qualities.
